If you watch my videos then you may remember seeing this skirt crop up in my New Look Haul way back in May. Annoyingly it was a little bit too big to sit on my waist where I wanted it to, so I had to alter it to be a little tighter to fit my waist. This meant that it did sit there unworn for quite a while due to my procrastination about fixing it. In the end, I didn’t even alter it, good old mum came to the rescue!
But as it wasn’t the right size for ages, I haven’t had the chance to wear it all summer, and I started thinking I was never going to get to wear it because autumn is now rolling in. So rather than styling it as I had planned as a summer piece, I thought I’d get a bit summer-autumn transitional and add a light piece of knitwear to go with it to make it September appropriate.
I absolutely love the print on the skirt and the unusual mix of colours. And this new jumper from H&M is a new fave. I think they also have it in a mustard colour, and I’m really after a bit of mustard in my life this season. I think that will be top of my shopping list when I get back from holiday!
