I’ve always loved berets. I remember when I was a kid me and mum went to Paris a couple of times on her birthday and on one particular trip we were on the open top bus and I spotted a beret shop. So my first beret was bright blue with ‘Paris’ embroidered on it, I thought I was tres chic walking around Paris in it, I thought I definitely looked the part! Fast forward over a decade and I decided a pink one was needed so I found this one on eBay. I don’t think it was that expensive but I’ve had it a while so I can’t remember the exact price. I’m also a bit unsure on correct beret-wearing. I like to wear them off to the side like this but a lot of people wear them over the back of their head. I don’t know if my head is huge a weird shape, but it just doesn’t seem to sit right there on me. So jaunty, off at an angle it is!
The weather seems to have taken a nose dive into properly cold so a big oversize coat is definitely needed outside of the house now. My fingers were freezing even in the few minutes it took to take these photos! I’m going to have to figure out how to make gloves look cool and appropriate in every outfit from now on!
