Graffiti Brights

This skirt is one of those ones thats been lurking in my wardrobe unworn for god knows how long.

top – TOPSHOP  |  skirt – TOPSHOP  |  shoes – CONVERSE

bag – VINTAGE  |  nails – ESSIE MINT CANDY APPLE  |  jewellery – VARIOUS

I bought the skirt when I was 18/19 and went on nights out all the time and planned to have it as a night out skirt. But I can’t actually remember me ever wearing it, I think my main problem with it was that it has a tight, thin elasticated waistband which is rather unflattering if you have a top tucked into it. But after perusing one of my favourite blogs ever, Sincerely Jules, I noticed that she often pairs quite bright/dressy skirts with casual tops and trainers to dress them down for a daytime look. So I plucked out this skirt and thought I would give the look a go. Paired with my favourite grey tee (I really need to get another one or two of these with the amount I wear it), I’m quite pleased how it came out really. I’m trying to wear things in my wardrobe that I don’t wear that much at the moment, so hopefully I can find some more new combos that I haven’t thought about before!
