What I Got For Christmas

As a disclaimer before I start this post, I am in no way bragging about what I got for Christmas, I enjoy reading other people’s posts like this so I thought I would do one myself. I like reading them because they give me ideas of what I could look for in the sales or add to my wish list, and just because I’m a bit nosey! I am very grateful for everything I received for Christmas this year and am very thankful to all my generous family and friends. I haven’t included every single thing in this post, just the main bits and bobs.

In the above picture are a few of the DVDs I was given, one of which being the JLS Goodbye Tour DVD. Me and my mum went to see the concert on the 21st December and she apparently ordered it the next day and amazingly it turned up in time for Christmas! So thats a nice little memory from that evening of my lovely JLS boys.

I always love to get books at Christmas and I was lucky enough to be given all these this year. I actually chose the joke book myself for my stocking from my boyfriend, I’m quite simple minded and silly jokes make me laugh so much, my favourite one so far is ‘Whats blue and square???   ……. An orange in disguise!’ I’m very easily pleased haha.

My mum got me the big Soap & Glory box set this year which I was really excited about, and my boyfriend also got me a couple more Soap & Glory bits and Lush goodies. So I will be pampering myself in the new year!

Ciate Caviar Manicure, Ciate Velvet Manicure, Essie Stroke of Brilliance, Elegant Touch House of Holland Get Nailed Set, Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, Alpha H Liquid Gold, Lady Million Perfume

The Ciate sets from my mum I actually knew about as she got them at the Clothes Show Live for £5 each, but the House of Holland set was a surprise that I didn’t even know she had heard me say! So I look forward to trying out lots of different nail looks! And I was very excited to be given the Emma Hardie cleansing balm by my boyfriend as I love it so much. He wrote on the tag that he bought it for me ‘because it makes your face so soft’, so actual proof from a boy that it does work!

French Connection Dress, ASOS Tartan Skirt, ASOS Faux Fur Snood

One of my main presents this year was the gorgeous red dress in the picture above. When I was searching for a dress for graduation back in November I tried on this dress and fell in love with it, but decided that as my robes were partly purple, and the dress code said dark clothes, I shouldn’t get it. I was completely lovesick for it and I was so excited that my mum had bought it for me when I opened it on Christmas day. Its something I would wear for a dressed up occasion, so I can’t wait for an opportunity to wear it! The other two things in the picture were from my boyfriends family, I love them both so much! I wanted a tartan skirt for ages and this is the perfect one, its brushed cotton so its very cosy and wintery!

I was also given quite a few other things including chocolates, pjs, vouchers, and other nice bits. I am so thankful to everyone who gave me a present, and I hope everyone I gave a present to liked what I gave them. I actually made quite a few presents this year for people as I wanted to make use of my sewing machine, and I was really pleased how they turned out. It made me feel really good actually putting my time into gifts for my family and friends.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family and got nice gifts too! And seeing as a took a week off blogging over Christmas, here is my belated Merry Christmas to you!
