I am a very lucky girl. As an early graduation and well-done-at-uni present, my nan and mum went halves on a sewing machine for me! I’ve never had my own machine before. I’ve been sewing since around the age of 14/15 when I took Textiles for GCSE but have always used the school/college machines or my mums sewing machine, so I am ridiculously excited to have my own. It’s definitely an investment that I will keep for years and years to come because it was quite expensive. Its an all-singing, all-dancing one, as you can see by the vast amount of stitches it can do. I also seem to have started singing a sewing song when I use it in the tune of this song, replacing the “rolling, rolling, rolling” lyrics with “sewing, sewing, sewing”. Don’t ask me why, I’m a bit of a strange one sometimes.
