Yesterday me and my mum went to London for the day on a little exhibition excursion. We love going to exhibitions and at the moment there are so many on, and starting soon, that I want to see. Yesterday though, we went to see Ballgowns at the V&A and Chanel’s The Little Black Jacket at the Saatchi Gallery. Both of them were really good, and overall we had such a good day. We went for lunch at Planet Hollywood and I had the most amazing white chocolate milkshake, I wish I’d taken a picture but I woolfed it all down before I remembered. Then we went over to Fortnum and Mason and bought my Nan the cutest box of biscuits for Christmas that plays the tune of We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Afterwards we quickly got over to the V&A for the Ballgowns exhibition and I had one amazing fashion spot, Vivienne Westwood!! She was just wandering around the entrance picking up leaflets and at one point was stood a metre away from me, total fangirling inside moment. Me and my mum chose not to disturb her as no one else had noticed her it seemed and we didn’t want to make a fuss and ruin her day wandering around the museum. But it was a very exciting moment for me, being a fashion student and all ;). Afterwards we went over to the Saatchi Gallery for the Chanel exhibition which was really good but very busy. I was also really excited to pick up 3 free posters of the images from the exhibition, such a good idea! Then we had a little wander around a little food market right outside the Saatchi Gallery before realising it was far too cold to be outside anymore. So we made our way to the Peter Jones (John Lewis) department store in Sloane Square and had a few hot cups of tea before making our way home. All in all a lovely day. Can’t wait to go back up to London for a Christmas shopping trip to see all the lights!
