ASOS Wedding Guest Wish List

In a couple of weekends time I will be going to the first of my school friends' weddings, which is both at the same time exciting and bladdy terrifying. I still feel like we're all 13 so the idea that my friends are getting married is a bit mental, but super exciting nonetheless.

Obviously as a result I have been on the hunt for the perfect wedding outfit, and the majority of this has been on the old faithful, ASOS! They never let you down with an outfit for an occasion simply because of the vast amount of things you can find there, at all price ranges.

So while I'm still searching and umming and ahhing I thought I'd let you in on a few that have caught my eye so far...

My absolute favourites are the Millie Mackintosh floral maxi dress, and the blue crochet lace Self Portrait midi. If I only I had the bank balance for them!

Which are your favourites?

The Sweatshirt Dress

dress - H&M
bag - PRIMARK
shoes - CONVERSE

My legs may be pasty beyond belief but the sun was out so I couldn't resist my first bare legged outing of the year. If only it was going to be glorious weather all Easter weekend, absolutely typical we have 4 days off and only 1 of them is going to be nice weather!

Also, these photos have made me notice how much my hair has grown out since I last had it done. I'm now in the dilemma of what to do to it now? Do I go fully dark? Or lighter again? Do I get a fringe? Do I get a chop? I'm so bad at committing with my hair that I never end up doing anything but I'm really in the mood for a change up. What do you think?

For a very long time I have wanted a leopard print coat, but never saw one that was just right. However back in the Christmas sales I picked up this baby from Topshop for an absolute steal of £40 instead of £89. I think it was meant to be!

Fashion Week Street Style Favourites

NYFW-STREET-DAY-5-8

Back when I was at uni studying fashion, I used to think Fashion Week (month) was all about the shows and would spend ages on Vogue and Style.com browsing through the looks from the catwalk. But now I'm not really that bothered about what hits the runway, for me it's all about what's hitting the streets. I adore browsing through the street style images, and now fashion month is well and truly over for another season, I thought I'd let you in to a few of my favourite looks...

Rosie for Autograph

When I started to see the Rosie for Autograph make up range on Twitter and on various blogs in all honesty I wasn't that bothered. I've never really seen Marks and Spencer as a contender for makeup so while I adore Rosie Huntington Whiteley and think her lingerie collection is gorgeous, I didn't think the makeup was something I really needed.

That was until I saw this video by Elanna Pecherle. (She's my new YouTube crush FYI).

At that very moment I decided I needed some of this Rosie Huntington Whiteley makeup in my life. I even bought the issue of Glamour Elanna mentions in the video that has Rosie in it because I was desperate to see which pieces Rosie mentioned as the key products. I legit became obsessed with adding a little Rosie for Autograph to my makeup collection as soon as I possibly could.

So at the first opportunity I headed down to Marks and Spencer and picked up a couple of the pieces Elanna used in her video and another that just caught my eye. I also swatched pretty much all of the other products while I was there and made myself a list on my notes on my phone of the next products I absolutely have to get.

The products that I actually picked up are the Starstruck Highlight in 'Get the Glow', Lipstick in 'Camisole Blush' and a Cream Eyeshadow Stick in 'Movie Star Crush'. And I can already say I love them. They're easy to use, quite subtle, and feel really high end. I adore the little rose design carved into the lipstick, and it has a super satisfying magnetic closure. It's the little things eh!

I would highly recommend Rosie's range from what I have tried so far, and I cannot wait to add a few more bits to my collection! Next up on my list are the Eyeshadow Quad in 'Copper Gold Rush, the Bronzer and a few more of the lipsticks. Anything to help me pretend I'm Rosie really!

Have you tried anything from the Rosie for Autograph range?

Finally I have managed to shoot this outfit! This is now the third time I have taken these photos and I am finally happy with them. The first two times it was early in the morning in the cold and I looked like I hadn't slept for several years judging by the size of the bags I was carrying.

I spotted these dungarees on Alex from The Frugality's Instagram a few weeks ago and instantly wanted them. She is officially my new Instagram crush and I pretty much want everything she posts. Instagram is such a dangerous place for me and my bank account.

Who makes you want to shop on Instagram?

My Favourite Blogs

I haven't ever written a post like this, but I figured it was about time I did. It is about time I made a special mention to my favourite places on the internet to while away a few hours getting inspiration and indulging in a little wanderlust. Other bloggers are the people who inspired me to start a blog, and continue doing it, so without them I wouldn't be here writing this post. So without further ado, here are a few of my favourites...

llymlrs

Lily's is the first blog I ever discovered and I was obsessed with her style from the outset. I think it was back in 2010 when I discovered the world of blogging and I can't even remember how I found Lily's blog but ever since I did I have loved her style, her photography and range of posts on topics from fashion to beauty to lifestyle. She also has the absolute best makeup and skincare recommendations, and pretty much anything she says is good, I want in my life. Really she's the reason I started a blog so a big thank you for being my inspiration to start my own little corner of the internet!

pages-by-megan

Pages By Megan

I started reading Megan's blog back when she was What's New Pussycat and even back then she was an absolute babe with killer style. Every outfit she puts together looks awesome and I wish I had as much effortless style as her. I am also obsessed with her Instagram posts as they are all so well put together and make me desperate to shop everything she posts. All in all, she's great and if you aren't already following her then you really need to be. And did I mention that hair and those cheekbones?!

the-londoner

The Londoner

No one gives me greater wanderlust (or makes me more hungry) than the beautiful Rosie of The Londoner. Her travel diaries have the most beautiful photography and the way in which she writes completely makes you feel immersed in the experience like you were there with her. If I want to go somewhere then her blog is my first port of call to search for recommendations on what to see and what to eat! Speaking of eating, have you tried her slutty brownies? They are bladdy amazing, so if the answer to my question is no, then what are you waiting for?! Go and make them ASAP! (Also can someone tell me how to get hair that beautiful and bouncy?!)

the-little-magpie

The Little Magpie

Amy of The Little Magpie is just beyond stylish. Every outfit she puts together looks so on point and I absolutely adore her posts. She's also super witty in the way she writes so every post has me chuckling because she makes you feel like you're chatting a friend. I'm also a huge fan of her travel posts recommendations, Amy's blogs about Iceland have made it a huge must-see on my bucket list! Again, another absolute babe.

fashion-agony

Fashion Agony

I have been following Nika's blog for quite a few years now and she will always be my go-to for ultra chic style, whether that be dressed down, or dressed up, she always looks incredible. What I love about her style is that so much of her clothing is from the high street, yet the way she puts it together makes it look so high-end designer which is a huge inspiration to me and something I wish I could do with my own style. The photography on her blog is also so beautiful and well thought out, every backdrop looks so well suited to the outfit and the photos are gorgeous. And have you seen her style inspiration posts? I actually need Nika to come shopping with me and pick out some of those amazing looks for me.

There's obviously so many other amazing blogs out there that I love reading but I thought I would pick out these as a few of my absolute faves who inspire me to try new things, try harder with my blog & outfits, and travel more to see the world. Who are your blogging inspirations?
