NEW IN: BLUE HUED NAILS

nails2 nails1

The other week the lovely Charlotte posted a new nail polish on her Instagram, namely 'Blackberry' from Barry M's Gelly range. Straight away I decided I needed it in my life so I headed down to my local Boots to pick it up. I then somehow seemed to gravitate towards blues.
Barry M had a buy one get one half price offer on so I decided to pick up one of the quick dry colours  as I don't have any yet and I was quite intrigued by them. I chose the shade 'Eat My Dust'. I have it on now as I type this and I love it. The perfect pastel blue for spring, and it does dry pretty quickly!
I also picked up 'Cheeky Chap' from Rimmel's Matte range. I'm really not sure about this one. I tried putting it on last week just after I bought it and it was so hard to apply! The brush really dragged meaning you couldn't get a clean layer. It was like it was becoming matte too quickly for you to paint it on. It also chipped quite quickly. Has anyone else tried this and had the same experience or am I just useless at applying it?

  3. I think for matt nails you need to go for a top coat rather than colour polish, the colours always chip.
