Wedge-Shaped Lustings

Something about the summer calls for wedges. So the other day I was just browsing the Kurt Geiger website doing some extreme lusting and I found these beauties. I love the cute little hearts on the first pair, the aptly named Kutie shoes. I loved the black pair because you can't beat a stacked black wedge with an ankle strap, but at £220, they're a bit more than my end of uni budget can afford! The third pair I think are just a bit different and would look great for the summer with denim shorts or a sundress. The fourth and final pair are the best for the summer with the tan straps and cork wedge, I think I need them in my life somehow, unfortunately all priced at £140 and above I don't think I will be purchasing anytime soon. But I do have a birthday coming up a week on sunday, maybe I should send this post link to my mum as a little hint! haha. I cannot wait to start earning properly so I can treat myself to beautiful shoes like these!

We Went To London to Buy A Heat Magazine*

*A Suit for Graduation.
On Friday last week me and the boy headed up to London to get him a suit for graduation. As Topman currently have their 20% Student offer on, we thought it would be a good idea for him to get one now. So we jumped on the train on Friday morning London bound.

Baby Jane

gormless much? haha

Shirt - Blue Rinse Vintage
Leggings - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Watch - Vivienne Westwood

I think I look gormless about 75% of the time, I just can't help it. Just a slouchy outfit post today, I love this shirt with the brown leather collar and its perfect paired with leggings for those lazy Sundays when you can't really be bothered to get dressed. It also inspires me to start doing some clothing DIY. I went to London yesterday and popped into Urban Outfitters and Topshop on Oxford Street and was looking at the reworked vintage clothing they have in both of those shops. It really inspired me to start customising some of my clothes and buying some charity shops bits to rework into something new. My favourite was a cropped denim jacket with a patterned bandana sewn onto the top of it, I feel like I need to make that for myself! Maybe I'll start up sewing again while I have this free time after uni before I have to go into the real world of work. I've also got a dress I started making last summer and never finished, probably had better dig that out and finish it! I actually quite miss a bit of sewing, it really feels like an accomplishment when you see the finished thing and know that you made it yourself!

oh and I'm thinking of including songs into my outfit posts just to show a song thats been in my head or I'm liking at the moment. So below is Baby Jane by Rod Stewart, I'm partial to a bit of old Rod after it was drummed into me via my parents when I was little. Little fact for ya, I've been to 2 concerts of his, and one I even had a plastic kids toy saxophone with me because I used to love miming the saxophone bit in one of his songs! What can I say, I was an unusual 8 year old! haha

Wishing the stars won't fade

T-Shirt - Topshop
Leggings - Topshop
Shoes - Converse
Bracelets - Topshop
Watch - Vivienne Westwood

Making GIFs is hard. I tried this cool website that had high quality images and played music at the same time as the GIF, but then the downloaded version was rubbish, grainy and with no music. So then I tried other online GIF creator websites, and the quality of them was poo. So then I found an online tutorial about how to make them in Photoshop, so I tried that next. It looked pretty good quality, but was too big to upload to Photobucket. So instead I uploaded it straight through Blogger and the one above is the best quality I could get. Am I doing it wrong or is there a way to make better quality GIFs than the one above?
Anyway, I just thought I'd make today's outfit post a bit more interesting that just the pictures to scroll through. And the music I wanted to play along with it on the first website I found is the Amelia Lily song above, so give that a play at the same time if you like, I think it works pretty well together :). Currently obsessed with that song! Hope you had a nice Friday!

#Epic

Top - Primark
Jeans - New Look
Shoes - Primark
Necklace - H&M

English weather is far too unpredictable for outfit-photo-taking, one minute its nice, the next its freezing and raining. So instead of taking photos outside with the boy as my photographer, I had to resort to photos in his bedroom on a tripod because I was just too desperate to start blogging again. I want to take photos outside like so many bloggers do because I think it just looks so nice compared to indoors shots. But you've got to work with what you've got, and this is all I had. I also did a batch photo-sesh of all the outfits I've worn recently but didn't have time to photograph, is this cheating in the fashion blogging world? haha. Oh well, I don't care, I just want to start blogging again! So now I will have several posts to put up over the next week or so, yayy! And its Friday tomorrow, even better! :)
Hope you have a nice weekend!

Life is short, I always buy the shoes

Kurt Geiger Miss KG Pollyanna shoes

As a treat to myself about a week before deadline I bought these beauties. They were £75 down to £29, I couldn't pass that kind of an offer up. I've worn them once and they are quite painful, but I guess beauty is pain right? Hand me the shoe stretchers! As they say, life is short, buy the shoes ;)

Also, can you see my reflection in the toes of the shoes? They're just so shiny!

Just a quick one to say I've finished university! Wooo! So I will be back to blogging soon! I have had a week now since I handed in all my work so I've had some rest and I will be able to get back to doing some blogging. My hair in these photos just would not behave, damn you wind! And please excuse the forest that is my back garden, we need to get round to cutting that lawn before it overtakes the house haha. Anyway, must go, I'm being moaned at for taking too long to get ready, boys just don't understand do they.
