Instagram Update

China Town for Chinese New Year. My boy. Third Floor style post (hair after my first hairdressers attempt). LFW Press Pass. Yellow Hair. London Fashion Weekend. Cold days in London. OOTD for another day in London.

Just thought I would do a quick update seeing as I haven't posted anything on here in practically three weeks. Just a few pictures of what I've been doing while I haven't been blogging. There are a number of reasons why I haven't been blogging, number one being I've been really ill with a bad head cold for near enough 2 weeks now so haven't really felt in the mood for taking photos and blogging. Number two being I hate my hair. I decided to take the plunge and dye it blonde, I've now been to the hairdressers twice and I still hate it, so I'm going back AGAIN on Tuesday to see if they can fix it. It began by looking streaky and still half brown at the top, and now its a weird orangey yellow colour. Not a big fan of that I'm afraid. So hopefully on Tuesday I will make it to the Cara Delevingne caramel-y hue I've been aiming for! Reason number 3 I haven't been blogging; my final major project. Ive been working loads on the social media for the Third Floor publication team that I am part of so I've been neglecting my own blog in favour of their blog which I am running and putting together all the content for, alongside their Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and starting on their Youtube channel. Its really exciting and I'm loving it, its just a lot of hard work. If you fancy having a look at any of it then just click on those links and head on over there, I would really appreciate it, like and subscribe etc! It really is shaping up to be a great issue of the publication. I have also been hectic in going to London, four times in the past 2 weeks. Which means I have spent a grand total of approx 14 hours of my life travelling to and from London in the past two weeks. The worst one was for London Fashion Week on the 15th Feb, where I woke up at 4am to catch the 6am coach to London which took 2 and half hours. It was a fantastic day and I was so excited by my little press pass, but I was so tired and ill that day it is unreal. I have also been to London for London Fashion Weekend, Chinese New Year, and  a Harry Potter sightseeing tour of London (no not the studio tour as everyone seems to ask me) yesterday. So I am well and truly pooped at the moment, being ill and having loads of work to do, and spending days in London in the cold making myself ill-er has not been the one. However hopefully I will like my hair by Tuesday, I will be feeling better and more up for outfit posts and such like, because I have missed doing a bit of blogging! Oh and I included a picture of my boy because I've been practically living at his and he's been making me feel much better, thank god for him, he's the best <3

Third Floor Work

This week, I've left my camera at my boyfriend's by accident, so I can't do any outfit posts or anything like that. So instead I thought I'd do a post about my uni work because I'm really excited and happy about it at the moment (lame I know).
As I have mentioned in a previous post, I am responsible for the social media aspect of the Third Floor publication created annually by fashion students at my university. Tonight, I properly started working on building the social media sites and accounts for people to follow. As we have only just started the project, there is not much content on any of the pages, but there will be lots in the coming weeks once we start doing photoshoots and interviews.
The publication already has a Twitter, a Facebook and a Tumblr, so they are the same as they have been for previous years. However, I have made a new blog, a YouTube channel, an Instagram account, and a Pinterest account. There is an existing blog hosted on Wordpress but we as the new team were not happy with the visual layout of it, therefore I decided to start a new one. Tonight I have spent most of my time working on the blog. The bit I was most excited by are the clickable icons I created on it to direct people to the various other social media pages. I didn't know how to do this before, so I have spent ages tonight learning about how to do it and finally figured it out. I am so pleased with myself, many people will probably be like, well thats easy! But for me it is an accomplishment! :). Hopefully I will be teaching myself some more html coding over the coming weeks.
Anyway, the links to all of the pages are below so have a look if you fancy it! :)

New Balance

Cardigan: Primark
Top: Topshop
Jeans: Topshop Leigh
Shoes: New Balance 574
Necklace: Miss Selfridge

The other day I treated myself to some New Balance shoes. The boyf has some, and when he got his I said they were horrible and I didn't like them. A week ago we went shopping and I saw some in Schuh for girls and I fell in love with them. So on Tuesday as a well done to myself for handing in my dissertation I went and bought them. I have such a thing about trainers at the moment. My housemate said they look like gym shoes and hates them, and the boyf loves them, so they're definitely not something everyone will like, but I don't care because I love them. Now I just need some Adidas Gazelles in my life and my trainers obsession will be quietened for a while! :)

In real life...

...I'm just a massive dork. Me and my lovely housemate Hayley the other night. She always looks cute, I'm like her dorky little sister even though I'm older than her haha. Silly faces are the best ones.
