the first outing...

Top: George at Asda
Disco Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: Primark

I feel like I haven't done an outfit post in so long. I hate not having time to blog, damn you third year uni, and the rubbish weather stopping me from taking photos, damn you winter weather. Apologies for the dodgy background, I don't have anywhere in my uni house this year thats suitable to take blog photos with enough light or a plain enough background, and without my boyf around to take the photos I had to settle for the little outhouse-y bit we have at the side of our house! I was just too excited and had to share what I wore that day. All because it was my first outing for my disco pants! Now I'm a little late to the disco pant party I know, but I just ummed and ahhhd over the high price tag for ages before I actually bit the bullet. I just couldn't justify that much money on one pair of trousers, but I had a 25% code for ASOS which was about to run out when I found out they sell disco pants and I just thought screw it, I'll get them! I'm so pleased I did because I love them. It was also the first outing for my gold glittery trainers from Primark. Delightfully tacky. Not to everyones taste but I just had to have them and I thought they added a bit of sparkle to this otherwise plain outfit. Also, just to mention this top, its so lovely but you can't really tell in photos. I got it from Asda the other week (and accidentally picked up the purple version yesterday). Asda always surprises me, they do have some really nice things in now and again, so its always worth a look! And finally, I'm contemplating dyeing my hair completely blonde. I'm in that 'final year of uni so screw it' kind of a mood. Carpe diem and all that. I'm going to wait till after christmas so I have some time to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. I've always wanted to know what I'd look like blonde, and I want to try it at least once in my life, so why not now while I'm still at uni and it doesn't matter if it goes wrong! I can always dye it back if I don't like it. Thats the end of this essay anyway, better get back to my actual work instead! Oh blogging I miss you!

p.s. I notice now that my hair looks basically half blonde with my hair half up like this! see previously posts for how brunette my hair usually looks haha

Note to self: learn to read...

I love JLS so much, I have now seen them perform live 4 times, and the other day booked to see them on their next tour. I got ridiculously excited about this thinking it was in a few weeks time, only to realise the date said 2013. What a fail at life, I must learnt to read before I book things haha. Anyway I'd better get back to this pesky 3rd year work for uni, absolute bane of my life, I wish I had time to blog and take outfit photos, thats definitely taken a backseat as of late. Hopefully I can get back to it soon :)

p.s. Aston is too gorgeous for words *swoon*

Yesterday me and my mum went to London for the day on a little exhibition excursion. We love going to exhibitions and at the moment there are so many on, and starting soon, that I want to see. Yesterday though, we went to see Ballgowns at the V&A and Chanel's The Little Black Jacket at the Saatchi Gallery. Both of them were really good, and overall we had such a good day. We went for lunch at Planet Hollywood and I had the most amazing white chocolate milkshake, I wish I'd taken a picture but I woolfed it all down before I remembered. Then we went over to Fortnum and Mason and bought my Nan the cutest box of biscuits for Christmas that plays the tune of We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Afterwards we quickly got over to the V&A for the Ballgowns exhibition and I had one amazing fashion spot, Vivienne Westwood!! She was just wandering around the entrance picking up leaflets and at one point was stood a metre away from me, total fangirling inside moment. Me and my mum chose not to disturb her as no one else had noticed her it seemed and we didn't want to make a fuss and ruin her day wandering around the museum. But it was a very exciting moment for me, being a fashion student and all ;). Afterwards we went over to the Saatchi Gallery for the Chanel exhibition which was really good but very busy. I was also really excited to pick up 3 free posters of the images from the exhibition, such a good idea! Then we had a little wander around a little food market right outside the Saatchi Gallery before realising it was far too cold to be outside anymore. So we made our way to the Peter Jones (John Lewis) department store in Sloane Square and had a few hot cups of tea before making our way home. All in all a lovely day. Can't wait to go back up to London for a Christmas shopping trip to see all the lights!
