the inevitable has happened...

When I finished uni last Friday I knew my blogging was going to get quite irregular and rubbish, and that has definitely happened. I haven't blogged since then. I haven't taken any outfit photos or bought anything to post about so I have been completely away from blogging for over a week. So I wanted to do a little post about some of the things I've been doing since I finished this year at uni.

i wish i was a baller...

Jersey: Adidas
Jeans: Topshop Leigh jeans
Shoes: Topshop
Watch: Argos

I wore this outfit the other day to the boyf's house, and I really love it. This is one of 2 basketball jerseys that the boyf got me from work for a bargainous £4.20 each! They're boys age 12 but who cares! They fit and I love them. When I go to New York in June I really want to get a Knicks jersey too.
I'm writing this post in advance so when it publishes I will be climbing through the trees for my cousin's hen do at Go Ape. I'm really excited to do it, I did something similar when I was about 13/14 in France so hopefully this one will be just as good! I also hope the weather isn't too bad because climbing through the trees in the pouring down rain will not be the best of fun.
Even though I've only just finished uni I have got a manic few weeks ahead of me so my blogging might be a bit rubbish for the next few weeks. I'll just have to make sure I set aside time to do it so I don't forget. Also, I'll need to find somewhere new to do my outfit photos because I won't have my trusty background anymore because I'll be back at home for summer instead of in my uni room. Maybe I'll have to persuade my mum and the boyf to take my pictures for me over the summer months :)

will I ever be adult sized...

Shirt: George at Asda
Jeans: Topshop Leigh jeans
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: Miss Selfridge

I wore this to uni today, but I actually photographed it the other day, so my hair was actually straight today when I wore it. A couple of my friends said they liked what I was wearing today so that made me feel pretty good :). The shirt is a kids school shirt from Asda, age 13-14. I don't think I'm ever going to get any bigger I swear, but I suppose it keeps things cheap when you buy from the kids section!
Today was my final hand in of second year, I literally cannot believe uni is all over for a second time! I feel like I've only just started this year, and now I'm on my way to becoming a third year, then its the real world! Scary times.
I've spent this evening packing up my room and sorting out my stuff because I'm moving to another uni house in July so all my stuff needs to be taken home for summer or packed up ready to go to the next house. I have so much stuff its ridiculous. My mums already taken a car load home, I'm taking another car load tomorrow, and theres still going to be more stuff left to get. I've actually been quite sad packing up my room tonight because I'm only going to be living with one of my original housemates from halls next year, so I'll be losing 3 that I've lived with for the past 2 years now. I'm really going to miss them, so its all a bit sad.
But to cheer up I've now got the whole summer free and I'm going to get so much stuff planned and done to make the absolute most of my summer! First thing on the list is get some work experience, and then I want some amazing days out and trips, and to sort out my house at home because I love a good spring clean and bit of decorating :)

quick dash to uni...

T-shirt:
Vest: H&M (just seen)
Jeans: Topshop Leigh Jeans
Shoes: Vans
Watch: Argos

I wore this to uni on Friday, which ended up me wandering around uni for ages on my own. I hate going to uni on my own and I hate even more going to the library computer room on my own. Its always packed and I feel like a pillock wandering around looking for a computer while everyone stares at you. Its horrible! And then I found a computer and it wouldn't log me in, so I had to go and find another one, epic fail of a day.
But enough of my whining, I'm not sure if I completely like this outfit because I just sort of threw it on at the last minute. I always look at fashion bloggers though and think, do you actually dress up this much everyday? I think for my blog I'd rather post stuff I actually wear rather than outfits that I think look good enough for a fashion blog. So I think this outfit would fall under everyday, just chucked it on category.
I'm trying really hard to do my essay tonight thats due in on Friday, I just can't seem to figure out how to start it. I'm too excited for it to be Friday night and for my summer to begin! This could be my last full summer before I have to start interning and working so I'd better make the most of it :)

new shoes...

I got these beauties the other day and simply had to post about them. I haven't mentioned it much before on here, but I am a massive lover of shoes. I have a lot of pair of heels, not to mention all my flats, boots and sports type shoes. The thing is I don't wear my heels too often because they hurt my feet, standard expectation but I'm a wuss haha. Also, I have a half hour walk to uni so I definitely don't like wearing heels to walk to uni. This year I should make an effort to wear heels more because I do have some amazing pairs. Anyway, these were £40 in the Office sale and I absolutely love them!

Top: Florence & Fred at Tesco
Jeans: Topshop Leigh jeans
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: Topshop

I wore this outfit the other week when I went for a meal with the boyf, again another outfit that I didn't get time to photograph and post about at the time. I really love the colour of this shirt, I spotted it when I went to Tescos with my mum over the easter holidays and I just think its such a beautiful colour and would look so nice with a tan. I also love my new necklace in these photos, it was one of my Topshop sale bargains. Topshop jewellery sales are the best, but I did spy the exact same necklace in their sale as one I got in Miss Selfridge the other week, at a higher price I might add. I know they're both Arcadia labels but its a bit cheeky to sell the exact same thing in different shops for a higher price in one of them.
Started packing up my uni room with my mum today, can't believe second year is almost over! But I have realised I have far too many clothes at uni, I honestly don't know how I'm going to fit them all in my car on Friday, probably going to be a several trip job. I definitely have no idea where I'm going to fit them in at home because my room is much smaller in comparison, might have to take over some more space in my  mum and I's shared wardrobe hehe. I swear she doesn't wear half of it anyway, maybe I'll get her to have a clear out like she tells me I need to do all the time ;)

born in the USA...

Top: H&M
Jeans: Topshop Leigh jeans
Shoes: New Look

I wore this a couple of weeks ago for the boyf's 21st birthday when I spent the day at his and went for a meal with his family which was lovely. I meant to photograph the outfit back then but I've been so busy that I literally haven't had the time, so I guess better late than never eh?
Im trying to get back to outfit posts so I did a batch of outfits the other day that I've worn recently and haven't had the time to post about. I do enjoy doing it, I just need to find the time and the space to do it, seeing as I'll be moving back home next week so I won't have my usual background setup available anymore.
I absolutely love this t-shirt, I think its going to be one of my new faves. This is a pretty casual outfit but I quite like it, I do think it needs to be accessorised up a bit though.
Enough of my rambling though, I seriously need to get some of my essay done tomorrow because I'm leaving it far too late. I just can't seem to get motivated for it because its such a weird style of essay that I've never done before. My plan is to start tomorrow (in theory).

friday song day #9...

I saw this video for the first time on the music channels the other day and I realised I loved it. I thought the song was alright but when I saw this video it made me love it. I love her costumes, the choreography and her overall look in this video, amazing.

clothes over the last month...

H&M - £7.99 if I remember rightly
H&M - £12.99
H&M - £19.99
New Look - £14.99
H&M - £9.99ish? can't remember the exact price
Florence & Fred at Tesco - £14ish? can't remember the exact price
Florence & Fred at Tesco - £14 (please excuse the creases, it was crumpled in my bag after I wore it sorry!)
Topshop - £8 in the sale

                                          Charity Shop - £4.99

New Look - £5 in the sale
New Look - £12.99
I wasn't planning on doing this post as all of this stuff was bought over the past month so I thought it was far too spread out to bother doing an overall post on. But after doing a makeup and accessories little post the other night, I figured why not do this as well :)
Apologies for the creases in most of the clothes, they've either been crumpled up after I've worn them, or crumpled up in the carrier bag they were bought in. I have no idea where the iron is in my student house so creases are just a standard way of life for me.
I bought a few of these bits at home, and a couple the other day back at uni. Looking back, it looks like I've bought loads recently! My justification keeps being that I need more summery clothes, providing that the weather bucks its ideas up in the near future! As much as I love England and being English, the weather is absolutely dreadful! I wish we could have more guaranteed hot weather and sun, rather than the hit and miss rubbish we do get.
I love all of these bits for different reasons, I was going to say a favourite but I literally can't choose! Im just hoping that we get a bit of sun soon so I can wear the little playsuits and tops. I'm definitely more of a summer person than a winter person. So many people I know say they like dressing for the winter in lots of layers, I hate that, I'd much rather wear a cute summery dress or a top and a pair of shorts! Bring on summer 2012 :)

April GlossyBox...

My second GlossyBox came in the post last Friday but no one was around to answer the door so I got one of those little red post cards through the door. And seeing as I've not been at my house all week, I've only just managed to go to the post office and get it! As I've only just opened it I haven't had the chance to try all the products but I like the look of them so far.
I love the Figs & Rouge Rambling Rose lip balm at first try because it smells really nice and has such a nice texture. The Inika eyeliner which came in the colour 'graphite' seems a really nice colour and consistency so I'm looking forward to trying that out. Im really pleased with the size of the Ayuuri body wash, its quite a large size, I expected only tiny sized products in these boxes. So hopefully thats a nice product when I get round to using it. Im not so sure on the smell of the Kai perfume oil, and it is a ridiculously tiny sample, I'm a bit disappointed with this product. I've been seeing a lot about Caudalie products on blogs recently so I'm really looking forward to trying this SOS thirst quenching serum product out too.
Anyways, just a quick post to show what I got in my newest GlossyBox. I noticed that a lot of people were complaining on the Glossybox Facebook page about the delivery of this box as the payment was taken at the beginning of the month and the boxes didn't arrive until the end of the month. In my opinion people do like to make a fuss about nothing don't they. Everyone was informed that the boxes would be a bit late this month and apologies for this, but everyone still had a moan about it! You're still getting the box, so whats the moaning about! Sorry about the rant but I really just don't understand people sometimes.

H&M keep on collaborating...

H&M seem to be able to get anyone to collaborate with them, it literally is amazing. From Versace to Karl Lagerfeld, all of the big fashion players have had a sell-out collaboration with H&M. I just saw this on  H&M's Facebook page and thought ooooh another one?! They seem to be doing them so regularly! This time its Anna Dello Russo, fashion director of Japanese Vogue. I love her completely out-there extravagant style, and her apartment looks amazing in this video! I'm now really looking forward to seeing the full collection, its going to be available in selected stores and online from the 4th October :)

Topshop - £2.50
Topshop - £3.50

It seems that outfit posts are not easy when I'm not at my uni house. I just cannot get into the right frame of mind without my normal background haha. I've been at my boyf's house since Friday so I haven't managed to do any this week. But I'm going back to my house tomorrow so I should just do a whole load of different outfits I've worn recently and then gradually post them because I really want to get back to the outfit posts.
The photos here are some things I've bought recently. As I mentioned in a previous post, I went to the Bicester Outlet Village over the weekend and I bought a few bits in The Cosmetics Company. My mum got me the Ojon Hair cleanser because I had mentioned that my hair was getting greasy really quickly recently so hopefully this will help a little bit. The other 2 things I got there were kind of impulse purchases. After looking into past MAC collaborations for one of my uni assignments the other week, I really wanted some of the 'Venomous Villains' collection, because its Disney and all the packaging looked so cute. I'd seen some of it in the Gunwharf Quays shop but all the products they had were far too bold for me. But I was in luck in Bicester because 2 of the products I found were perfect for me, so I had to buy them! They're also my first ever MAC products so I was a bit excited. Disney mixed with make-up? Whats not to love!
The photo of all my new make up is a bit spread out in terms of when I bought it. I can't remember if I have shown my new make-up bag so I thought I'd include that as well. The foundation is a re-purchase because I decided the last shade I bought was too dark for me so I went back and bought the lightest shade they had. I'll have to keep the darker one for the summer when I've got a bit of a tan. I then went on a bit of a Rimmel spree and bought 2 mascaras, a bronzer and 2 of the Kate lipsticks. The mascaras were a spur of the minute purchase after I had discovered that my beloved Lancome Oscillation mascara has been discontinued, boohoo :(. I've also been trying to get into lipsticks so I decided to get the Kate ones and I absolutely love them! I probably will end up purchasing more of them because they're so nice. I thought I'd try a new bronzer so I went for the Rimmel Match Perfection, liking it so far :). I also needed some new powder and the 17 one is for shine control so I thought I'd try it out and see if it was any good. And finally, I always use the same blusher so I thought I'd try a new blusher as well! Basically I went a bit mad on buying and trying new make-up on a rainy day in Boots!
The necklaces were from the Topshop sale the other day. Buying jewellery in sales is the only way to buy, why pay £14 for a necklace instead of £3.50 in the sale, absolute bargains! Also, I find that when I look in jewellery sales I find things that I wouldn't normally notice, so its a win win :)
There are quite a lot of new clothes that I've bought over easter (far too much over-indulgence, not on chocolate but on shopping instead!) that I plan to photograph and blog. Thats another mission for me to do when I get back to my house tomorrow. Its gonna be a long day of photographing and blogging, can't wait! Better get some of my work done now in order to justify doing something else all day tomorrow :)
