After looking at all this stuff I have realised I've been getting 'little bits' wayyyy too much recently. All the little few pounds gradually add up, but I guess what else am I gonna do with my money :). It seems like I've bought loads and spent loads but I only buy stuff thats on offer or cheap, I'm a bad one for being attracted by sales and offers. My friends had to drag me away from Boots the other day after I tried about 10 lip tints and lipsticks on the back of my hand because 'its all on 3 for 2!'. I need to stop! haha.
I've also been spending quite a bit on make-up and skin care stuff because I decided I need to take a bit better care of my skin. At the moment I'm a bit obsessed with clearing up my skin completely so I'm on a quest for an amazing skincare range, so I thought I'd go quite natural with a bit of tea tree and see if that helps. New make-up and freshening up my make up is another thing on my list of new bits I want, I always use the same boring stuff and never try new things so I've been buying a few things to try out and shakeup my products this year :)
My blog has been very neglected this week, I'm a bit of an obsessive and like to post practically every day but I haven't this week. I'm at my boyfriends house so its been a bit hard because we've been so busy. Also, outfit posts are too hard at my boyfriends because he doesn't have space in his room for my tripod etc, and I've not been making effort with my outfits, so I've just given up with it this week. I will definitely start doing it again next week once I'm at home for easter. I kind of miss doing it. We had a good night out in fancy dress for his birthday on Thursday so I might post a few pics of that, we then went to the beach yesterday which was fun, and made a trip to Surrey today for the boyf to do last years birthday present driving experience day.
All in all a busy but fun week :)

I never usually go on the missguided website, not because I don't like it, just because its not one of my 'go-to' websites when I'm looking for new clothes. I usually stick to stuff I know on the high street because I know its good, and occasionally ASOS. But today, I thought I'd have a little look just out of interest, and oh my god, there's so much stuff I want! Below I have compiled a few pictures of some of the things I like :)
I just now need to win the lottery to go and buy all this stuff haha. In future I will definitely be going on their website to look for things because its so fairly priced and looks really nice. Might have to pick a couple of things and spend a little money on myself over the easter holidays as a treat ;)

my first ever glossy box...

So I got sucked into the hype over beauty boxes and signed up to one, that one being GlossyBox. After seeing all the excitement over the Harrods box on Twitter I decided to take the plunge and just order one and see if I liked it. Ive been thinking about it for a few weeks after seeing them all over blogs but didn't know whether it was a waste of money, but then the Harrods special swayed me. I was excited by the idea of getting high end samples. I particularly wanted the little Burberry lipstick but sadly I didn't get one :(. The products I got were; the Versace Vanitas eau de parfum, the Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter, the Revive Intensite Creme Lustre, the Lancome juicy tubes toffee R'N'B 93 and the Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream.
This isn't much of a review because to be honest I haven't tried all the products yet. Its just a post to say wooo I got my first GlossyBox really haha.

Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter: This went on my skin really smoothly and left my skin super soft. I don't really like the smell of oranges and initially I didn't like the smell of this but I have drained this tube dry nearly because it felt so smooth :)
Lancome Juicy Tubes Toffee R'N'B 93: Im not really a big fan of the 'sticky lips' look that this gives. It  does smell amazing though, I'd rather eat it! It didn't add any colour to my lips, it just made them look really sticky, I had to have it on for a while so that it wore off a bit before I was happy with the look of it.
Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream: I haven't gotten round to using this yet sadly, I definitely will soon because it sounds really good, all that firming and smoothing shizz!
Versace Vanitas Eau de Parfum: Not really my kind of smell but its nice to have in your bag as a little perfume just in case its ever needed :)
Revive Intensite Creme Lustre: I haven't used this product, purely because on the explanation it said something like 'for sagging skin'. Im sorry but this does not make me want to use it, its not the nicest of ways to describe peoples skin. So I left that one. I was considering giving it to my mum but she probably wouldn't use it. I guess I will use it in the future I just didn't like the way it was worded on the description, such a lame reason I know haha. I'd just rather it feel and sound luxury rather than gross and depressing!

So heres my mini lame review of my first ever GlossyBox, I was just excited and wanted to share! Even if it is quite a while after I actually received it, I just haven't had the time before now :)

Film of the Week #5

I feel like I haven't watched a proper film in ages and I haven't done a film of the week for ages, probably down to deadlines and pure laziness. After thinking about it, I've decided instead of watching films for fashion inspiration, I want to watch a new film every week. Just to broaden my horizons a bit and see some different films. So that means something I've never seen before, and not necessarily a new film out. So here is my first one :)

purple jeans...

Top: New Look
Jeans: New Look
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: Accessorize

I don't feel like I have much to say today. I feel like I'm just talking to myself when I post, just airing my thoughts in a sort of diary but a very public, easily accessible to anyone diary. The way established bloggers write TO their readers because they know people are reading, I don't. I just ramble on because I feel like its just me reading haha.
Anyways, enough of the analytical thinking shizz, this is what I wore to uni today. Pretty simple jeans and top combo, but I had my hair a bit different and the top is new so I figured I'd post it. I like the idea of posting my outfits because then I have a record to look back at what I've worn in the past, even if they're not super fashiony or cool, its just nice to have something to look back on :)
This is becoming such a rambly thought post, I'd better just get back to packing for the easter holidays, last day of term tomorrow, yayy! :)

pink jumper...

Jumper: New Look
Jeans: Topshop Leigh
Necklace: Topshop
Shoes: New Look

This is my new jumper that I posted about the other week, I love it. Its so cosy and slouchy. I also like the colour of it, I think its perfect for coming into the summery months but its still a jumper so its warm to wear. I think I definitely want to post outfits as much as I can, rather than a set amount a week or whatever because I want it to be a bit more 'honest' in what I actually wear everyday. I don't know how to word it properly but basically I want my outfit posts to reflect my actual style rather than just picking outfits that I think are particularly nice. I think that'll help me change up my style a bit more often and just be a bit more 'honest' if you will.
This morning I had a bit of a crappy hair moment with dry shampoo. I don't like to wash my hair everyday because all that jazz about stripping natural oils etc etc. So like a lot of people I dry shampoo in between washes. Ages ago I bought the Batiste XXL Volume dry shampoo to try out, I hadn't actually used it yet because I was waiting for my normal can of Batiste to run out. So this morning that happened and I decided to use the XXL Volume one. Oh my god, worst decision ever. I sprayed it on my roots like normal and the resulting texture was horrideous (yeah I know its not a real word). It felt so stiff and gross. Fair enough it did give my hair a tiny bit of body when I mussed it up a bit, but the feel of it was disgusting. It was dry and felt like straw. I then tried to spray normal Batiste over it, epic fail, just made it feel worse. Complete hair 'mare, I will not be recommending the XXL Volume to anyone haha.

what i chucked on...

Hoody: Topshop
Tshirt: On holiday somewhere
Jeans: Topshop Leigh
Shoes: Converse

This is what I chucked on this morning when I was running late for uni, 9am starts are not my friend, I'm never on time for them. I think the main reason is because we only have two 9am starts each week and one of them we finish at 11 and the other we finish at 10, so I do feel like its a bit of a waste of a half hour walk and me getting up early. If we had a full day or even more than one session, I could understand, but 9am for 1hr of uni and an hour roundtrip nearly of walking, not fun!
After uni I popped into town to get a new foundation. I've had a maybelline mineral one for far too long (so gross) because I've hardly used it. I never really have been one for foundations, I always used to just use powder and concealer and save liquid foundation just for nights out. At the moment I'm using the 17 BB cream after seeing an advert in a magazine and my friend said it was good. I thought this would be a good middle road product to try before full on foundation. After using this I decided I might want to look into getting a proper liquid foundation rather than just BB cream. Also, I have recently become obsessed with youtube beauty videos and beauty blogs so this has spurred me on to get a proper foundation. So anyway, I went to town to get a new foundation and epically failed! I ended up buying a few bits I shouldn't have from primark instead :/. I seriously don't like buying foundation from Boots, Superdrug etc. The foundation area always looks so grimy where annoying people have decided to smear products everywhere while looking at the shades. It just looks so hideous and unhygienic. I'm not a massive makeup person at the moment so I don't think I would really justify going to say, MAC and spending like 30 quid on a foundation, maybe when I'm a bit less poor, but for now its a no go. So I'm gonna have to stick to the grimy boots section haha. I think I might go in and choose my shade and then order online just because the bottles always look like someone could have already opened them in the store. I don't want to spend my money on already opened goods! Gross or what!
Anyways enough of my ramblings, I'd better get on with some work I suppose :(

Jumper: Primark mens size small
Shorts: Hollister
Shoes: Vans

I'm still so undecided about this outfit, I really wasn't sure whether to post it or not. I wanted to post it because I wanted to show how my new Primark mens' jumper fitted me, but there's something about this outfit that I'm not too sure on. I think my problem is with the shoes and the shorts, I wanted the top to be long enough to wear with leggings but its just that little bit too short. Then I tried on about 5 different pairs of shoes and settled with my vans but I'm still not sure I entirely like these with the outfit. But oh well, here it is anyway :)
I think I'm gonna go back to doing my weekly photos, I miss doing them because they encouraged me to take more photos when I'm doing things, and it just gives me something to look back on. I might not lay them out in the same way as I did before because I think that was too uniform and boring. So on sunday my weekly photos will be back :)

just a quick one...

Coat: River Island
Skirt: River Island
Wellies: Hunter
Scarf: George at Asda

This is just a quick (quite grainy) post today because I'm being lazy and haven't done a film of the week post so I feel like I should post something else in its place. This is what I wore today out for dinner with my mum, nan and the boyf. These photos I got my mum to take when we went for a dog walk, she doesn't know how to zoom hence the bad quality where I've had to crop the photos. Hope you've had a good mothers day/nice sunday :)
