2012...

Seeing as it is New Years Eve and the end of 2012 is nigh, I wanted to do a little round up post of what this year has meant for me and my hopes and wishes for the next year. I love watching YouTube videos and blog posts about this kind of stuff so I thought I'd throw in my little bit :)
I feel as though 2012 has been a big year for me, seeing as I turned 21 (its only downhill from here haha), I had the trip of a lifetime to New York for my birthday with my mum and my boyfriend, survived second year of uni and entered my third and final year, moved uni house and started this little blog. I have really decided where I want to go in life, what I want to do, and matured a lot. I have completely become bordering on obsessed with reading blogs and watching YouTube videos on beauty and fashion, I love spending my time finding out about what people are buying, wearing and using. It has opened me up to so much more make-up, skincare and hair care. Before this year I wasn't really bothered by any of that sort of thing, but now I love it all, much to the annoyance of my mum and boyfriend, but they can bore off, I like it! haha. I feel much better about buying things now I can see recommendations on them and how to use them, rather than just blindly going and buying. I wont go fully into how much I love YouTube and blogs because we would be here for days :)
In 2013 I have quite a lot of wishes, hopes and things I want to do. I want to graduate from uni with a good grade (so hard work must commence here on in), get a good internship/job, start looking at finding my own place to live and start participating more in blogging by commenting other people and making some friends through it.
In terms of actual resolutions, I never really make them that seriously but this year I have made a proper list of things I want to keep to. This includes eating healthier, going to the gym, taking better care of my skin and body, and blogging more. The usual generic resolutions but I have started some of them like joining a gym and eating more healthily towards the end of this year, so these ones I just want to carry on and work harder to do :)
Hopefully 2013 will be a good one for everyone!

Thank you...

This Christmas I have been well and truly spoilt. So I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has given me a present, they have all been amazing and I love them. The two I just wanted to show here are from my mum and I have been absolutely spoilt by her, so thanks mum! She said I could have a Mulberry bag in the Christmas sale as my present, so on Christmas Eve I noticed the Mulberry sale had started. I chose a black Hetty Clipper and I absolutely love it. The other present she got me was a massive surprise as I thought the bag was such an amazing present already. For my birthday in June, I thought about maybe asking for a nice watch, as I had seen so many people's Michael Kors watches and I thought I would quite like one. However, I'm one of those people who doesn't want something loads of people have, so the more people I saw getting one, I went off the idea of a Michael Kors. Then, when we went to the V&A a couple of months ago, me and my mum saw Vivienne Westwood, so according to my mum, that made her decide she wanted to get me a Vivienne Westwood watch instead so it would remind me of that day. It's a silver and rose gold colour and I love it so much, my mum chose well! I hope every had a Merry Christmas and is looking forward to the New Year. I'm not a fan of Christmas or New Year really but I have had a lovely time with my family throughout it, and thats what its all about really. Lucky for me I've been blessed with a lovely family that I have a great time with, our Christmas day was filled with laughs and fun, just how it should be. Love to my amazing family! And a Happy New Year everyone :)

the first outing...

Top: George at Asda
Disco Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: Primark

I feel like I haven't done an outfit post in so long. I hate not having time to blog, damn you third year uni, and the rubbish weather stopping me from taking photos, damn you winter weather. Apologies for the dodgy background, I don't have anywhere in my uni house this year thats suitable to take blog photos with enough light or a plain enough background, and without my boyf around to take the photos I had to settle for the little outhouse-y bit we have at the side of our house! I was just too excited and had to share what I wore that day. All because it was my first outing for my disco pants! Now I'm a little late to the disco pant party I know, but I just ummed and ahhhd over the high price tag for ages before I actually bit the bullet. I just couldn't justify that much money on one pair of trousers, but I had a 25% code for ASOS which was about to run out when I found out they sell disco pants and I just thought screw it, I'll get them! I'm so pleased I did because I love them. It was also the first outing for my gold glittery trainers from Primark. Delightfully tacky. Not to everyones taste but I just had to have them and I thought they added a bit of sparkle to this otherwise plain outfit. Also, just to mention this top, its so lovely but you can't really tell in photos. I got it from Asda the other week (and accidentally picked up the purple version yesterday). Asda always surprises me, they do have some really nice things in now and again, so its always worth a look! And finally, I'm contemplating dyeing my hair completely blonde. I'm in that 'final year of uni so screw it' kind of a mood. Carpe diem and all that. I'm going to wait till after christmas so I have some time to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. I've always wanted to know what I'd look like blonde, and I want to try it at least once in my life, so why not now while I'm still at uni and it doesn't matter if it goes wrong! I can always dye it back if I don't like it. Thats the end of this essay anyway, better get back to my actual work instead! Oh blogging I miss you!

p.s. I notice now that my hair looks basically half blonde with my hair half up like this! see previously posts for how brunette my hair usually looks haha

Note to self: learn to read...

I love JLS so much, I have now seen them perform live 4 times, and the other day booked to see them on their next tour. I got ridiculously excited about this thinking it was in a few weeks time, only to realise the date said 2013. What a fail at life, I must learnt to read before I book things haha. Anyway I'd better get back to this pesky 3rd year work for uni, absolute bane of my life, I wish I had time to blog and take outfit photos, thats definitely taken a backseat as of late. Hopefully I can get back to it soon :)

p.s. Aston is too gorgeous for words *swoon*

it's getting cold out...

Jacket: Topshop
Dress: ASOS
Fur: H&M
Shoes: Converse
Bag: Ebay
Lipstick: Rimmel Kate Matte 107

Yesterday me and my mum went to London for the day on a little exhibition excursion. We love going to exhibitions and at the moment there are so many on, and starting soon, that I want to see. Yesterday though, we went to see Ballgowns at the V&A and Chanel's The Little Black Jacket at the Saatchi Gallery. Both of them were really good, and overall we had such a good day. We went for lunch at Planet Hollywood and I had the most amazing white chocolate milkshake, I wish I'd taken a picture but I woolfed it all down before I remembered. Then we went over to Fortnum and Mason and bought my Nan the cutest box of biscuits for Christmas that plays the tune of We Wish You A Merry Christmas. Afterwards we quickly got over to the V&A for the Ballgowns exhibition and I had one amazing fashion spot, Vivienne Westwood!! She was just wandering around the entrance picking up leaflets and at one point was stood a metre away from me, total fangirling inside moment. Me and my mum chose not to disturb her as no one else had noticed her it seemed and we didn't want to make a fuss and ruin her day wandering around the museum. But it was a very exciting moment for me, being a fashion student and all ;). Afterwards we went over to the Saatchi Gallery for the Chanel exhibition which was really good but very busy. I was also really excited to pick up 3 free posters of the images from the exhibition, such a good idea! Then we had a little wander around a little food market right outside the Saatchi Gallery before realising it was far too cold to be outside anymore. So we made our way to the Peter Jones (John Lewis) department store in Sloane Square and had a few hot cups of tea before making our way home. All in all a lovely day. Can't wait to go back up to London for a Christmas shopping trip to see all the lights!

it had to happen...

I have the luck of living near an outlet centre both at home and near where I go to university, both of which have Kurt Geiger stores. I would probably say 9 times out of 10 that I go in these stores, I will buy something, I just can't help myself! So these little beauties happened this weekend. I was at home and went into the store just to have a look and saw a sign saying all items £39 or under, those words meant I had to come away with something, it would have been rude not to! I noticed these gorgeous shoes in the size 4 section and desperately tried to fit my size 5 feet in them, but alas they were not to be. So I carried on browsing and then my mum came over with a pair of size 5 badboys! The only bad thing is we aren't too sure if she stole them from someone else trying them on as she swooped them from the floor next to a girl trying on a whole bunch of shoes, oops! When I see a pair of shoes I love, I'm usually instantly in love so I quickly went to the till and paid before I could consider the fact that I'm a student and have no money haha. These are my new babies and I'm so pleased with them!

p.s. I also naughtily bought the shoes I featured in my last post on my Topshop Wishlist! They were in the sale, it had to be done before they sold out ;)

Topshop Wishlist

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.

At the moment I am struggling to write my dissertation synopsis which is due in on Monday, so naturally I have been doing a bit of internet browsing. I want so much on the Topshop website but these are what I chose as my top few. The fur gilet is my favourite item but at £55 I don't think I can justify it on a student budget! I need a cheaper imitation of it in my life! The one thing I might try and justify is the shoes, they're in the sale at £35 and they're so gorgeous. I'm a sucker for a beautiful pair of heels. The only question is, burgundy or blue? Decisions, decisions!

green on green...

Jacket: Zara
Jumper: ASOS
Skirt: Topshop
Shoes: Carvela at Kurt Geiger
Shirt: Asda
Collar tips: Ebay

I love this area down by the coast, its so peaceful and nice for a sunday stroll. Apparently I look like a school girl in this outfit but I don't care, I always wanted to be able to create my own style school uniform like they do in Gossip Girl, so this is mine ha! I also only realised afterwards that I'm a bit camouflaged into the backdrop by my jumper, oops. Must choose better outfit photo locations. In other news (ha loser) my housemate bought me a disney princess advent calendar today, I'm starting to get that Christmas feeling already!

always coca cola...

Jumper: Primark mens
Jeans: New Look
Polo shirt: Asda
Bag: Ebay
Shoes: Vans

My boyfriend is officially employed as my blog photographer. The only trouble is, I only see him at weekends so I might have to take a whole load of outfit posts each weekend to make the most of it! This bag was an absolute bargain and its really good for the cost of it, with a removable inside zipped piece and a removable long strap. I had this in my ebay watch list for ages and finally decided to buy it and I'm so glad I did. I really need to start getting on with my dissertation now, its the hardest thing to start! I'm so jealous of all the people I went to school with that have already graduated, damn you foundation year ha.

Burgundy...

Jacket: River Island
Shoes: Carvela at Kurt Geiger
Jeans: Topshop Leigh
Bag: Mulberry Tillie
Top: New Look
Hat: Matalan
Watch: River Island

I currently have a love for everything burgundy and dark red. I just bought a lovely new burgundy scarf and I just had to get these loafers (even though I already have them in black). Its such a lovely colour for autumn. Also, I made a little trip to Matalan because the boyf wanted to go and I fell in love with this hat. It makes me feel very Millie Mackintosh-esque. I'll just ponce around in it imagining I'm from Chelsea!
